About Minooka, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Minooka is an Illinois village situated in Grundy, Kendall and Will counties. According to the United States Census Bureau, Minooka had a population of almost 11,000 people in 2010. The village is located about 50 miles southwest of Downtown Chicago.

Original inhabitants of the area Minooka is located in were Native Americans from the Potawatomi tribes. In 1833, settlers of European descent began arriving in the area. Minooka was established after the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad laid tracks in the area that took freights to Chicago. After the tracks were laid Ransom Gardener, a surveyor for the railroad, purchased 500 acres and plotted the village. In 1869, Minooka became incorporated as a village.
